WMST COVID-19 Policies
The WMST Board of Directors met Tuesday night and had a lengthy discussion regarding our current policy for COVID vaccination of its members. In light of the changing dynamic of the virus and a decreasing trend in cases, a motion was made and approved that effective March 01, 2022, WMST will no longer be requiring members to be vaccinated against COVID in order to participate in practice and be an active member of the team.
We expect our members to exercise their best judgement and continue to follow CDC guidelines and the advice of their primary care physicians regarding their health and wellbeing. If you do test positive for COVID, please notify me via email, and do not return to practice until 10 days after a positive test (symptoms must also be resolving). CDC guidelines can be found here: https://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2021/s1227-isolation-quarantine-guidance.html
Please continue to be courteous to your fellow swimmers and respect their personal space. While we have not had any cases of swimmer-to-swimmer transmission during practice, it’s still best to try not to breathe heavily in each other’s faces on the wall.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any further questions or concerns: (936) 522-8156 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
